The Model of the Future
Thursday, March 20th, 2008I began working on the 3D model of downtown Jacksonville out of boredom in 2007. Work has been slow due to the enormity of the project, and the fact that I began it with an 8-year old Mac (which I’m typing on now). But now I built a custom PC specifically to handle this project and it’s working beautifully.
Here are the new machine’s specs:
AMD Phenom 9500
Gigabyte GA-MA770-DSE/S3
Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 (2x 2GB)
Cooler Master Real Power Pro 750W PSU
Cooler Master Elite ATX Mid Tower
XFX NVidia GeForce 8600GT 256MB DDR3
Windows XP Pro 64
Asus CD/DVD Multi Recorder
Seagate 250GB, 7200 RPM HDD
This blog will receive updates to my progress, along with my Facebook account which it’s connected to. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy watching this project evolve and grow.
