About the Artist

An artist from his earliest childhood, Howard M. Lawson II first utilized computers professionally in the graphic design field in 1996. His interest and abilities in the field of architecture multiplied when he joined with Tampa-based API+ in 2003. Relocating to Jacksonville in 2005, Howard was immediately drawn to the view of the downtown area, intersected by the St. Johns River. Drawing on his previous architectural design experience, the Jacksonville 3D project was born. In 2006, Howard became the lead broadcast editor for THE CHURCH of Jacksonville, yet in his spare time, he continues to diligently create a working 3D model of downtown Jacksonville.
Recognizing the increased capability requirements of his project, Howard built a computer in February 2008, specifically for working on Jacksonville 3D. Armed with an AMD Phenom 9500 processor and Lightwave 3D, Howard will be able to make a marvel of a project using these two first-class tools.
